Can I verify my matric certificate directly with Umalusi?

For certificates issued from November 1992 onwards, Umalusi does not take verification requests from the public directly. They have to go through a registered verification client. Africa Protea Integrity, trading as Veriffy Me, is on Umalusi's list of registered verification clients, so we submit the request for you.

My certificate was issued before November 1992. Can you still help?

Older certificates are verified by the Department of Basic Education (school qualifications) or the Department of Higher Education and Training (vocational and adult qualifications). Contact us and we will tell you exactly what to do.

I lost my matric certificate. What do I need for a replacement?

A certified copy of your ID or passport and an affidavit. Choose "Lost Certificate" in the request form and it will ask you for both.

What documents do I need for other services?

Usually a certified copy of your ID and of the certificate or statement involved. When you choose a service in the request form, it shows you exactly which documents to upload. Files can be PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5MB each.

How do I pay?

After you send your request, we email you an invoice. Once you send us your proof of payment, we start processing your request.

How long does it take?

Do you verify qualifications for companies?

Yes. We verify one candidate or a full intake for security companies, recruiters, labour brokers and HR teams, with one invoice for the whole batch. Request a bulk quote.
